3M Overlaminates

3M’s overlaminating materials will further increase the indoor and outdoor life expectancy of label materials; especially where extended label life is a necessity in cases of more severe UV, chemical, abrasion and/or humidity environments. Among the overlaminates available from 3M and Can West Label are:

7730FL Polyester Overlaminating Film – This is the standard overlaminate used by Can West Label as it provides premium performance for extreme environmental conditions. It features superior graphic protection from abrasion, humidity and solvents as well as UV exposure resistance for extended periods of time. Thickness is 1.8 mil. Its premium clarity will not impart haze on underlying graphics and its high bond strength to label and graphic surfaces will resist edge lifting. UL recognized.

7735FL Acrylar™ Weatherable Overlaminating Film - This is the premium overlaminate offered by Can West Label as its special UV resistance provides a minimum outdoor life of 5 years when used with a 3M label material (time period may diminish if exposed to chemicals or contaminants). It features superior graphic protection from abrasion, humidity and solvents as well as UV exposure resistance for extended periods of time. Thickness is 3.8 mil. Its premium clarity will not impart haze on underlying graphics and its high bond strength to label and graphic surfaces will resist edge lifting. UL recognized.
