Engraving

For smaller runs on bare metal, nothing beats the economies and durability of engraving. Ideal for sequential numbering and orders which require varying information (such as serial numbers), there are three types of high speed, computer controlled engraving available form Can West Label:

Laser Engraving – for finer graphic reproduction, laser engraving is the preeminent process. The process begins with a chemical being applied to metal. The metal is then inserted into a computer controlled laser engraver which applies extreme heat to the surface. The heat fuses the chemical to the surface to reproduce the desired image. This fusion is permanent and will last as long as the metal itself. Ideal for stainless steel and aluminum.

Diamond Drag Engraving – like its name implies, uses a diamond bit and is ideal for fine engraving on highly polished metal surfaces. Ideal for finer graphics (logos included) on stainless steel, brass and aluminum.

Industrial Engraving – Using solid, micro grain, carbide cutters, this process results in deeper engraving of the metal surfaces in varying font sizes and depths.
