Magnesium Alloy

Used exclusively for the manufacture of our “embossed look” plates, magnesium alloy is a composition of magnesium (96%), aluminum (3%) and zinc (1%). Available in .064” thickness only. Lighter than aluminum, it has a very high strength to weight ratio and is commonly used in aerospace applications, among others. The properties of magnesium alloy allow it to perform incredibly well in an embossing situation, allowing for 3-D replication of fine detail. Application in high heat situations should be avoided.
