In addition, Metalphoto® asset and equipment labels are also excellent in withstanding abrasion, solvents, chemicals and fuel, high temperature exposure (>400F <1000F), and salt spray and seawater. Because of this, you will find Metalphoto® asset and equipment labels on aircraft brakes, navy destroyers(military name plates), the International Space Station and more common everyday uses such as restaurant equipment, control panels and even outdoor signs.

Metalphoto® asset and equipment labels are created from a process that seals imbedded graphics between a specialized aluminum plate (on the bottom) and a glass-clear, sapphire-hard anodized layer on the top. The aluminum plate is impregnated with silver, which when exposed to film and light, results in an image being captured, much like photographic development. The plate is then chemically treated to create the clear anodized layer over the image. It is this process that results in Metalphoto® asset and equipment labels looking good for a lifetime.

A variety of colors is available, but black alone possesses the long term durability qualified to be characterized as lasting a lifetime. Other colors will slowly fade (over many years) from UV exposure.
