Our heritage… After nearly 60 years of precision graphic printing in Calgary Alberta, the Burnand family established Can West Label Inc. in 1969. From their unique position of producing the annual reports of some of the largest Canadian companies, the Burnands identified the need to service the requirements of a burgeoning Alberta industrial community. Today, 3 generations of this family continue to drive the development of Can West Label, bringing unparalleled expertise to the industrial product identification requirements of its local, national and international customer base.

Our products…

Our existence began with the manufacturing of high quality industrial labels on .003” aluminum foil. The Canadian Standards Association readily recognized the quality of these labels. Today we are one of the only North American industrial label manufacturers that continue to manufacture high quality industrial labels on .003” aluminum foil.

However, our product line up (and CSA approvals) has grown dramatically to encompass all potential labeling and product identification requirements of industrial customers. Simply put, if you have an industrial label need of any kind, we can help you. We offer screen-printing, diamond drag and laser engraving, anodizing, Metalphoto®, and acid etch. We manufacture using .003” aluminum foil, 3M polyesters, 3M adhesives, GE Lexans®, and multiple gauges of heavy aluminum and stainless steel.

From multi-colored graphic overlays to membrane switches, from sequentially numbered asset labels (barcodes too!) to acid etched and color filled stainless steel plates, and from CSA to UL to Military Specs, we cover all potential industrial label requirements. This way you can ensure the graphics are correct before production commences. Documented quality control processes are implemented at every step of the manufacturing process. And just in case, each label is individually inspected before packaging to ensure quality standards have been met.
